How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was an academic medical librarian for 35 years (including nine years as a moonlighting indexer) before transitioning to full-time freelance indexing in 2000. My training at the National Library of Medicine as a medical database and journal indexer still influences my approach to book indexing.
