I've been a freelance indexer of books and journals since 1991, specializing in health, behavioral, and social sciences materials.
What is your primary product or service?
Back-of-the book indexes; journal indexes; consultation and presentations about indexing
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was an academic medical librarian for 35 years (including nine years as a moonlighting indexer) before transitioning to full-time freelance indexing in 2000. My training at the National Library of Medicine as a medical database and journal indexer still influences my approach to book indexing.
What type of payments do you accept?
Checks preferred; credit card payments accepted via PayPal.
