How long have you been in business?
We've been in business since 1992.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary offering is collaborative design of custom homes and remodels, with a specialty in healthy, energy efficient, and environmentally friendly solutions. We also provide architectural services for values-driven businesses and clustered cottage communities.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've been drawn to design since childhood, and a drafting class in high school solidified that focus. I attended the architectural drafting program at Spokane Community College, and got a part time job at an architecture firm while in school. That turned into full time before my studies were complete. I continued through apprenticeship rather than the university route to prepare for my licensing exams, and became licensed to practice architecture several years later.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a small, women-run company with a deep understanding of how people really live in their homes and workplaces. We have focused on sustainable design from the very beginning, and have an expertise in the processes and products that can create a successful, affordable green project for our clients. We are Certified Aging in Place professionals, helping our clients create homes for a lifetime. We are great listeners!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our home office is in Issaquah, and we have a field office at Leading Force Energy and Design Center in Yakima.

We are located on Front Street North between the creek bridge and Dogwood street in Issaquah.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept checks and credit cards.
Which areas do you service?
Our work takes us all over the pacific Northwest - to projects in Montana, Oregon, Idaho, and throughout Washington state. Our most highly served areas are in King, Pierce, Snohomish, Kittitas, and Yakima counties.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Theresa (Terry) K. Phelan is our owner and design lead. She is a Washington native that has lived on the Eastside since 1994.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday through Thursday from 8:00 until 6:00, Friday from 9:00 to 1:00, and Saturdays by appointment.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
A heartfelt referral to their friends and family.
